Syllavo for students

What this looks like across an actual semester, from the week you connect Canvas to the week before the exam.

Week one

Connect Canvas once

Install the extension in desktop Chrome and connect your account. Syllavo pulls in your courses, assignments, files, announcements, grades and calendar using the Canvas session you are already signed in to. You never hand over a Canvas password, and you never repeat this step.

Every week

Capture what you actually read

Lecture slides, PDFs, the reading you opened at 11pm — save them as you go. Syllavo works from your own course material, not from a generic question bank that has never seen your syllabus.

Every week

Study by recalling, not rereading

Your material becomes flashcards and quizzes so you practise pulling the answer out rather than watching a highlighter move across a page. Cards you keep missing come back sooner.

When you are behind

Get the shape of a reading fast

Summaries give you the structure of a chapter or a slide deck when you have not read it yet — enough to follow the lecture and know which section you owe a proper pass later.

All semester

Know what is actually next

Deadlines from every course land in one place, and study plans are built from what is due rather than from a schedule you would have to maintain yourself.

Before the exam

Find out what the exam is worth

The grade simulator uses your real Canvas grades and weights to answer the only question that matters in week eleven: what do I need on what is left. Emergency Mode turns that into a plan for the days you actually have.

What Syllavo will not pretend

The numbers are yours

Your dashboard is built from your own reviews and your own Canvas grades. Nothing on it is a projection we invented to make the product feel smarter than it is.

Setup needs a computer

Chrome on phones does not support extensions, so the install and first sync happen on a laptop. After that, studying works fine in your phone browser.

It only sees courses you can already open

Unpublished courses and concluded terms are invisible to Syllavo, because they are invisible to your Canvas account.

It is a study tool, not a ghostwriter

Syllavo makes practice material out of your coursework. Submitting generated text as your own work is between you and your university, and we would rather you did not.

Start with one course

Connect Canvas, capture one week of reading, and see whether recalling it beats rereading it. That is a small enough test to run this week.
